Canton Community Kindergarten Preschool was is one of longest running preschools in the area. Established in 1980, the Canton Community Kindergarten’s (fondly called CCK) mission is to provide families a high-quality, flexible, and affordable childcare option, where children grow, smile, and feel like they are part of a family. We are incredibly proud of the many generations of families that have passed through our doors. We are dedicated to nurturing a vibrant and safe environment where children thrive through authentic learning, hands-on experiences, and developmentally appropriate practices that promote collaboration and independent play. The staff is committed to fostering a child’s self-esteem, while encouraging each child to learn the respect for the rights of others. CCK provides a warm and engaging atmosphere that supports the holistic development of every child, while deeply valuing our strong community connections.

We are a non-profit organization licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We do not discriminate in providing services to children and their families on the basis of race, religion, disabilities, cultural or national origins, sex orientation, political beliefs or marital status.

Each classroom’s curriculum is designed with a focus on developmentally appropriate practices that cater to the whole child. This approach ensures that we address various aspects of your child’s growth:

  1. Content Areas: Children will engage in literacy, numeracy, science, and art, through engaging, hands-on activities. This method helps to foster a love for learning and encourages children to explore and understand the world around them.
  2. Social and Emotional Development: We place a strong emphasis on helping children develop positive relationships, self-regulation, and empathy. Our activities and interactions are designed to support emotional resilience and effective communication, building a strong foundation for future social interactions.
  3. Fine and Gross Motor Skills: Activities designed for both fine and gross motor development will enhance coordination, strength, and agility.

Our structured schedule and emergent approach to learning provides a balanced routine that supports various needs, offering a blend of active play, quiet time, and focused learning to cater to each child’s individual needs and preferences.
