Saturday, April 6, 2024, First Congregational Church of Marshfield

Our spring event will examine significant encounters between Jesus and women in the gospel accounts, looking particularly at the historical context, setting, and meaning of each bible story. We will specifically look at the role of women in the culture of the time period and the nature of Jesus’ encounters including the thoughts of contemporary theologians on these passages. We then will explore in small groups how these lessons translate for us in the context of American culture in 2024. What takeaways can we glean from our own reflection and sharing with others, and how can these be applied to our daily lives? Join us at the First Congregational Church of Marshfield in our Parish House for a lively discussion and a delicious lunch!  Registration Fee:  $20.00
